I'm open to those ideas. Right now I don't have the time to scan the text. I did that before and it took way too long. The audio is not a problem though.

I'm offering to help seeding the torrent for FSI MSA. braveb, please let us know when you've digitized the courses and scanned the text.
Thank you!

braveb: I fully understand the amount of effort it takes to digitize such an amount of text, and would therefore be most appreciative and grateful of your efforts, and willing to help out in any way possible.
This is precisely why I am also offering to seed a torrent. I would also be willing to set up and host an FTP from which members can download the course. This would mean that the only cost for you, braveb, other than that of a new scanner, would be the time invested.
PM me if you have any questions.
Thanks!

I have both books for the FSI MSA course (Modern Written Arabic Vol. I + II). Actually, they're not too hard to find used. I have the time and patience to scan them in, but I don't have a scanner at the moment. I've actually been planning to buy the tapes for Modern Written Arabic from the NTIS for future use, but if there's a chance I can get the audio from another member, I'd rather spend the same money on a scanner and/or a different FSI course from the NTIS.

Great. I think we can come up with something. Malcolm could scan the text, and braveb could digitize the audio. All of us members would be very grateful to both of you for helping out other members. Let us know if we can help out with anything.

Sorry for the delay - busy at work. As for scanning the text, I simply don't have the time. I believe I sent Malcolm over the first unit of MSA volume 1 in MP3. Because my puter skills aren't so great I don't think I can host a FTP and not get bad results.

@braveb: Don't bother with the books. I'll do them as soon as I get a scanner.
@others: braveb did send me the first mp3 file and it sounds great.

I'd like to second what vinz said above since I'm sure that we're all really grateful for anything you can give us.
