My normal usage of the 이야기 segments is to listen to the MP3s in the car (on the rare occasions that I'm not in the mood to listen to music) and occasionally use the PDFs as "scorched earth reading" fodder for mining new vocabulary (which I've done with only 제1회 - 제3회 thus far). The best part about SE reading them is that afterward they are "known comprehensible" audio files. The problem I have with listening to random podcasts to train your ear for listening comprehension is that it's often hard to tell whether your lack of understanding is due to a lack of listening ability or simply a lack of vocabulary. After SE reading an 이야기 podcast, you've eliminated the latter option completely and can then listen to that MP3 confident in knowing that anything you don't understand cannot be blamed on vocabulary.
I have heard of people using audio in SRS decks and I've used Pimsleur plenty, but this is the first I think I've seen someone doing spaced repetition on a podcast. Like many things in the world of language learning, though, it can't hurt to try it. Sometimes that's the only way to find out that something works well for you is to try it for a while. If you don't like it or it seems ineffective, drop it. If it works well, then you've found a new learning tool to use.

Out of interest, what do you put on your Anki cards? The audio and Korean text on the front and translation on the back, or just the audio on the front? |

Pretty much that. I put the audio and the Korean text on the front, but I configured Anki to hide the text at first, so initially I only listen, then I look at the text. I mark the words I still need to learn in different colours and only put context-relevant translations of them on the back. I experimented with full translations, but it seemed unnecessary when I understand the majority of the sentence anyway.

I have a free week this week so I'm definitely going to start on GLOSS! (I keep telling myself this.) |

Have fun with GLOSS! When I first tried it I wasn't too motivated - it seemed too difficult. But after a few lessons I got used to the format and it's actually become enjoyable.

Not to hijack this thread, but I'm just curious to know how you do that. Could you explain, please?

I use the code for adding a selectively shown hint, which I found here in the Anki FAQ.

Thanks everyone for your responses, and my apologies for not replying. I was without internet for a week and then had little time for this forum for another week.
druckfehler, I had no idea about the selective hint function in Anki. It looks much better than my clumsy method of making the text white and then highlighting it. Thanks!
