Unicamp OpenCourseWare University of California, Irvine has some OpenCourseWare courses in Portuguese too. And, while it's not Portuguese, there's Suomenkieliset kurssisivut too... Given the number of languages you study, it's probably worth looking directly at the list of OCW Consortium members. This has definitely happened to me with all the languages I've studied past a B2 level. At that point in time you start seeing that language's culture unfold before you more than ever.
It's also worth noting that for some languages, materials for studying into the advanced/C1-C2 levels are relatively scarce. This was the case with Arabic and Persian for me. At that point, the best way to advance is by exposing one's self to the target language as much as possible. I decided not to do the translations of courses, which MIT and other OCW consortium members have but an original OCW course from a Brazilian institution with an interactive, multimedia format: Cursos Gratuitos- Fundação Getulio Vargas. It's a lot of fun and a good test of your comprehension, reading and listening skills. You receive no credit but you can print out a "certificate of completion", provided you pass the exams. Cursos Gratuitos... sounds like it means "free courses." I'm liking this already!
As I wrote in my log, I feel like I'm having the opposite problem, i.e. having too much L2 around me is making me want to do things outside my L2. I suppose that if I were still in the U.S., I would be craving as much Japanese as possible, but in Japan I feel the need to "get away" from Japanese when I can. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

Certainly. :) I tend to list to music in my target language from the start, and I usually like to be surrounded by the spoken language in one way or another - even if I don't always understand it. While nearly all the media I watch and listen to is in Korean, I often seem to have the opposite problem in that I have tendency to forget that I have Korean available for certain tasks. Two examples:
- I'll be reading a Wikipedia article about a Korea-related topic and find myself disappointed that it didn't have the bit of info I was seeking. Shortly afterward, it occurs to me that I'm going about it wrong. I click the 한국어 link on the left side and promptly find exactly what I was seeking in the Korean version of the article (since the Korean version of articles on Korean topics tend to have a lot more detail). - I'll be looking for the definition of a word in Naver or Daum's K-to-E dictionary and either find no entry at all or a very poor entry. Only on occasion, though, does it actually occur to me to try the regular K-to-K dictionary at the same site. A few times when I've actually done that, I've discovered that I perfectly understood the given Korean definition without any further lookups. 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||
