The. bot. does. not. like. me. (Or: I'm an idiot.)
I have tried: @6WCBot 20m #german #assimil @6WCBot 25m #German @6WCBot 20m #Croatian #Assimil @6WCBot studied #Croatian for 20m Tuesday. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? OK, I'm stumped.
"@6WCBot 30 minutes #German" - worked fine, but "@6WCBot 45 minutes #Dutch" - was ignored Also, are we just never able to post the exact same message to twitter again? Twitter keeps refusing to take tweets that are the same as previous ones, so if I want to report, e.g., 45 minutes of Dutch, every time do I have to write a different, unique tweet? 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I think you can tweet the exact same tweet daily once. I resolve it by tweeting "@6WCBot 30 minutes of #Javanese #audiobook" and "@6WCBot 30 minutes of #Javanese #audiobook" so I put one more space between Javanese and audiobook. There's one char difference that way.

Thanks. If so, it must be based on 24-hour periods, not calendar date, based on when I was having trouble. Incidentally, I did the same thing with my Dutch tweet that didn't register (the extra space may have disappeared somewhere between my original tweeting and my forum post). 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Well, I finally got it to work. I went to Twitter and DELETED all of my previous tweets about Dutch and then tweeted anew, without any extra spaces, and it registered. I wonder what that was all about.

It's not that you can't do the same tweet in the same day. But Twitter itself has a fit if you try to write the exact same thing twice in a row. So if you make a different tweet in between or make some subtle notation, then it should be okay.
