I would also like to congratulate Woodsei, for again showing dedication way beyond the call of duty, and showing how much it is possible to do when you really give it all you have got! Three cheers!
Personally I am happy for coming 6th this time, since I was way more busy than last time. And many thanks to Sprachprofi for creating this challenge, since it has proved to be very efficient in making us really up our scores!

I don't get it, and I don't like it one bit. I saw people posting updates to the bot yesterday. The 6 Week Challenge is supposed to be 6 weeks long thus ending three days ago at midnight. Now, am I right or not? Am I eighth or not? Also, if it's magically 8 weeks long or something then please tell me, so I can learn some more to at least somewhat reduce my loss. If I knew it lasted longer I would've arranged my exams differently. Also, I learned some on the last 2 days, should I post it then?

As jdmonacada stated previously, the 6WC ended at 23:59:59 (local time) on the evening of June 11, 2012. Depending on the time zone differences between yourself and the people you saw posting yesterday, it's possible that the challenge was still in progress in their time zone. I personally posted updates right up until midnight, which may have looked like partway through the next day for people in Europe or Asia.

People are still posting as of a few hours ago, and the challenge ended in my time zone almost 48 hours ago. I agree with Takato. It's not really fair.

I saw the same thing Takato saw with people posting when it was no longer the 11th in any time zone on the planet. It is highly suspicious, but I don't know the circumstances behind the posts. For example, maybe someone was posting after the challenge for effort that was made within the challenge.
I want to believe the best in people because in the end, if there is a lie about something like this, that harms only the person who told that lie. It doesn't make Takato's (or Kerrie's or ellasevia's or anyone else's) effort and achievement any less substantial.
Oh, I admit that it sure is nice to win and be recognized as the main winner over all. I had to come to terms with the fact that I would not personally be in the top 10, but yet I had done more self-improvement than I had ever done before. So in the end, I was racing myself and not other people.
I hope you can take some comfort in that thought.

I would imagine that some people figured 6 weeks would mean until the 15th and have posted in good faith.
In any event I would suggest two changes in the rules, if Sprachprofi would care to take them into
consideration.
1. We all start and end at the same time, regardless of time zone.
2. It is not allowed to post after the challenge is over. Whatever you have studied must be registered before
the deadline.
We will in any event get the same hours of study, and it would lead to less frustration.

Are we sure that time posted after the deadline is being applied?
I posted an update on the 12th (I thought I had another day when I'd done so -
regardless, I was never in it to win it), and it doesn't look like the time was
applied. Maybe the bot continued taking updates, but stopped applying them after the
deadline.
Sprachprofi will probably have to weigh in to clarify.
In any case, any hours logged but not applied doesn't mean that knowledge is wiped from
your brain.
R.

I don't know. I was overtaken on the 13th of June according to the bot. Both the full list and the detailed one shows it. Just for clarification (your is the right one, the other one is someone making over 20 hours after the deadline D:):
