I do not speak a word of Hindi (if this is Hindi that is:-), but this Devanagari script is just so nice.

Yes it is rather pleasant and appealing to eye. It is Hindi.

Sorry to nitpick, but the thread title does not seem to be written correctly. :)
The script is indeed very elegant, the only one I've seen that looked even prettier was the Telugu script, which is based on the same table of sounds as Devanagari, but uses completely different character shapes.
