Is anyone familiar with this DLI Persian Farsi full course? I happened to find the first text (vol. 1) of this full course in a used book shop but didn't buy it figuring I could locate the whole course with tapes from DLI. I was excited to read the intro, especially where it emphasized that this course was fully self-teaching and self-contained-- something the other DLI full courses are not. Since I believe it dates to the 1980's the audio should be good. I have made several attempts to call and find out how to buy this course from the DLI w/o any luck.

I'm not familiar with DLI course but I think it has gone under edition and improvement during this 25 years.
In this thread Beginner forum : Beginning Persian | page 2, dear Magister introduced a very good course: http://www.u.arizona.edu/~talattof/persian/

The prefaces to the individual volumes of the 1966 Persian course available here all mention that there are supposed to be 124 lessons contained in 10 volumes. However, volume 8 only goes up to lesson 100, and as there are about a dozen lessons in each volume, clearly there should be two more. There are many supplementary volumes available on the site, but none containing these final lessons, even though one is labeled "Vol. IX."
Does anyone have any alternate sources for these? Or at least any idea why they should be missing from these? Is it possible they were never produced?
