Update.
Spanish:
- having got a bit tired of serious reading (I mean the Atlas book), I decided to take up "Chronicles of Narnia. Prince Caspian" in Spanish. However, I dropped it on page 50 as I made sure that I don't like fantasy and came to the conclusion that I don
't like that manner of Lewis's writing. Of coure, I understand that it's a chindren's book, but the style is so telegraphic as if it were an adopted vesrion but not a novel;
Mandarin:
- Assimil - 3 more dialogues;
- Pimsleur Mandarin II 19-22;
- ChinesePod elementary: Going to the Doctor;
- Anki 837 facts.

German (at last!):
I found it very very comfortable to work with the Assimil German course. Already covered 3 lessoons, began from lesson 53. A bit every day, it suits me fine. I'm going to continue with 3-4 lessons a week, I'll also listen to the dialogs from the first one (the second wave, you know). I haven't started with Top-Thema yet, but I'm sure, sooner or later I'll ger down to it.

I don't like fantasy very much either for some reason. I mean, there are some books that
you could categorize as fantasy that I do like, but in general when I walk into a
bookstore and pass the "fantasy" section, I don't see anything that appeals to me. My
brother just LOVES that genre, though.
Anyway, 837 Anki facts!! That's a lot. Do you have a # of minutes that you try to spend
on Anki every day?

Hi,Annette!
I usually spend 20-30 minutes a day on Anki, divided into two or three sits. When I work at something else and get a bit bored with it, then I revise the Anki material a bit and then come back to work. Sometimes I'm in no mood for Anki at all (this week was the example: I hardly revised anything and added almost nothing). But then I catch up.

Last week I did very little study as my kids had flu. I was so tired that I didn't even want to update, but spring has come, the sun is warm, the weather is fine, so life doesn't seem terrible any more.
So, Mandarin:
- listened to Chinesepod;
- worked at tale 3.
German:
- Assimil 59.
Also read "Eclipse" in English and began to listen to the audiobook in Spanish.

Back into the rut, though a bit behind the schedule.
Spanish:
- "Harry Potter y las Reliquas de Muerte" - listened up to chapter 20 - that's more than 10 hours! - that's how an interesting story can capture you;
- "La Rebellion de Atlas" 580 paginas leidas.
German:
- Assimil 60,61.
Mandarin:
- listening to the old material;
- Anki 897 facts;
- Story 3 to the end. I must say I like Chinese fairy tales. They are rather simple, but wise. This one is about a crocodile that tried to decieve a monkey to capture it and feed its brain to his wife (吃脑补脑 - I liked the phrase), but the monkey turned out to be 聪明 and escaped saying that it left the brain in the woods (总是把脑蔵才树丛里,免得脑震荡). It makes me feel content that I see that the number of words I don't know in the text is decreasing.

Update:
Mandarin:
- Anki 950 facts
- studied 3 Assimil dialogues
- revision (and writing) of some old hanzi
German:
- Assimil 62,63
Spanish:
It was really a week along the lines of "all-Spanish-all-the-time". Sometimes I begin thinking in Spanish even without noticing it! So:
- "Harry Potter y las Reliquias de Muerte" - listened up to chapter 20
- read "Amanecer" by S.Meyer 200 pages
- watched
