Splog, the Methods and Motivation link above above leads back to this thread on Htlal.   Not a big problem; I
managed to find it by clicking via your website. - Thanks!

Also: another note of thanks for your recommendation of
How to Improve Your Foreign Language Immediately, which I bought
recently.   You're right; Shekhtman gives lots of useful advice - I'm really looking forward to putting his tips into
practice.

(p.s. The beard and cap are distinguished additions, btw.)

That is strange. When I click the link myself it opens a new browser tab and displays the video in youtube. I don't understand why it is not doing that for you.

Could I ask any other user who sees this message and see if the link to my latest video on the previous page shows the video or just links back to HTAL?

Coming to your second topic. I am so glad you liked the book recommendation. That book doesn't seem to be well known, which is a great pity, since it is very effective in getting people conversational (so long as they are willing to put the necessary work in).

Thank you for this.

I wonder why it isn't working for people, since clicking the link works for me. How strange.

Anyway, I have created a new link to the video (using a URL shortener) and edited my post with that new link.

If you have time, could you possibly try clicking the link again to see if it works now?

It is doesn't work with the URL, then I really am baffled.

Thanks again.

I got the Youtube video. It also worked yesterday, so who knows what is going with the browsers out there.

It is good to hear it was, and still is, working for you. I wonder why some others are having problems.

The new link works now, Splog; thanks!

(I was/am using Google Chrome on a Mac laptop -albeit quite an old one - if that makes any difference.)

Today, I uploaded a new video called "Talking about Shoelaces" which discusses a claim by a certain youtube personality that unless you know the word for shoelaces in your target language you are not functionally fluent. I disagree with his claim, for reasons explained in the video.
