Eng: This afternoon while on Youtube I came across one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books, "Fox in Sox," and wondered how well most people, natives and non-natives alike, could understand it. It's basically one tongue-twister after another. This particular version gets quite fast. My daughter and I listened to it a couple of times and had a pretty good laugh. I would like to see something similar in other languages. In case anyone would like to see it, here it is:

Eng: I haven't updated my log for almost a week. My studies as of late have not gone as well as I'd like. Vocabulary is the most difficult part of Dutch for me so far. Instead of studying I have been listening to some of my jazz CDs, mostly the aforementioned artists. I've gotten into all of these bands within the last couple of years and have gone away from most rock music that I used to like. Once I began to understand jazz, rock just didn't do it for me anymore. Although these particular artists have somewhat of a rock sound to their music, it's all improv, key changes left and right and some really strange time signatures. Anyway, this week I'm planning on getting back into my Dutch studies.

Eng: The other day I met someone who speaks 7 languages at either a fluent or high intermediate level and has a conversational level in over 15. Hopefully he'll join this forum soon too.
