Nothing really new. My friend, who was recently discharged from the Army, gets to use Rosetta Stone for free. I played around with it, and yeah, it's not worth the money. My friend also gave me his car MP3 connector that plays via a cassette, because my car is from 2000, so I don't even have a CD player in my car. That'll save me an hour of listening to awful radio everyday.

I quit listening to the radio a while back since there are no local Korean stations (not that I expected there to be any) and only one local Spanish station (which comes in poorly and has, IMO, fairly crappy music). I usually do a Pimsleur Spanish lesson on the way to work (though it won't be long and I'll be done with those completely) then listen to Korean music CDs on the way home (though occasionally I'll play a CD of Korean podcasts or TV show dialog rips on the way home instead).

I either play music or radio broadcasts that I downloaded (mainly TaeYeon's Chin Chin program. Sad that this is her last week, so I'll have to find another radio station. I used to listen to podcasts from Korean Class 101 and Japanese Pod 101 to and from school, but I never listened to more than 25% of the podcast actively, so music is the way to go for me.

I've read through the first 100 pages of 내 이름은 김삼순 and yeah, understanding very little, but that's the point. Picking up a lot of vocab, some grammar is cementing itself, and that's the point of this experiment. I plan on doing this with four more books, and after that, reread them again. Depending on my comprehension, the second or third time through these books, I'll look up everything I don't know. If I did that now, I'd be on page 10 instead of 100. I'm just picking out vocab words used a few times. I am understanding more and more as I continue to read, so I think it is working.

Most of my finals are on Monday and Tuesday, so I'm gonna have to scale back the amount of time I spend on languages for the next few days. I'm aiming to go on a RTK blitz so I can start reading Japanese a week or two after school is out. I've been on RTK too long.
For any Korean learner who wants a good song to listen (at least in my opinion), E.via has a new song out. E.via - Shake

와...that MV makes the "butt dance" from 카라의 미스터 look kinda...subtle...o_O
Oh, that reminds me. I watched an episode of Star Golden Bell (episode 273) last night that not only had a Lyric Completion question for which I actually knew the answer for once (the start of the chorus to 카라의 미스터) but also had some sort of English Quiz portion where they gave a sentence in Korean and the contestants were supposed to produce the English translation. I found the latter quite interesting as a language learner.

Yeah, I think I saw the same one you're talking about. I saw one where Narsha from Brown Eyed Girls was on there, and her English cracks me up.

I've watched three episodes of Star Golden Bell so far (all from Feb/Mar 2010) and Narsha was on all three of them (only one of which had other members of B.E.G. present), so that doesn't really narrow it down...hehe. In fact, considering I've also seen on her on several other shows that aired during that same time frame (Incredible Youth, the Let's Go Dream Team "Girl Idols" special, Happy Together, etc.), I'm not sure how she has time to be in a music group with all that going on.
I know exactly what you mean about her English, though, so it may have been the same episode after all.
