Yeah, that's why I do vocab binges when I have the time to do so. I really need to do it for Japanese instead of staring at the computer screen thinking "she's hot."

I haven't seen all of the Chuseok specials yet (trying to find them via torrents or streaming before I resort to MU since I don't have an account on MU.)

I finished part 1. Good, but as usual, the variety shows spend too much time showing the same scene from 5 angles and a lot of talking and talking and more talking instead of the olympics part. Judging by the previews though, part 2 looks to be good.

Tonight was a bad night for chatting in Korean. I didn't understand anything they were typing. I thought my vocab was getting good, too...

Yeah, I can see how not having MU Premium would put a damper on it. :-/ Something like Jdownloader can help, but even it can only do so much. I bought MU Premium back when I was using the yoobin-hq site frequently (as she exclusively used Megaupload) and have kept it active ever since (even though her site doesn't really update now), due to so many other K-media sites hosting there.

UPDATE: I was looking for the Aug15 episode of Challenge 1000 Songs (Kpopella doesn't have that one episode for some reason) and found this site: http://www.kpopweb.net/ The site is slow and a bit annoying, but does have torrent links for their downloads (in addition to MU links) and has several of the recent Chuseok specials.

Thanks for the link. I'll probably take a while to watch all of the Chuseok specials. October is going to be a busy month.

I'm making "pre" decks for RTK, Japanese, and Korean. Mainly putting the hard to learn and brand new cards in there, and after they get easy for me to remember in that deck, I'll transfer them to the main deck. I want to keep the main decks for maintenance instead of "learning new things."

Watched Heroes. Love that show, since it's my replacement of IY when IY ends.

I watched some dramas in both languages today. Did the average amount of SRS reviews today. The next week is probably going to be one of the busiest weeks of the semester for me, so I don't know how much I'll get done.

I found the site "Ask A Korean" and read his article on how he learned English, mainly by rote memorization and TV watching. My favorite part of the article:

The Korean can already hear the protests. Why does it have to rely on rote memorization so much? It sounds excruciating! Shouldn’t learning be fun? To those protests, the Korean has only this to say:

SUCK IT UP, YOU SOFT SACK OF SHIT!

Well, I do need to boost my vocab the most, so I better stop being a soft sack of shit.

Also, Co-Ed debuted today. Hye-won is in my "Can't Wait Until They're 18" List. Their song is as catchy as hell (Co-Ed - Too Late

It really is a good read. The only thing I'm not really doing is memorizing a lot of vocabulary. To learn 20,000 words in two years seems like a lot, but it's 30 words a day. I do need to write more, as I'm still stuck at the simple sentences part (and Koreans like to say I'm great at Korean because I use simple structures and short sentences lol.) Speaking is another problem, I just have no Koreans around here to talk to.

My problems with Japanese are twofold. >.>

That was a GREAT article...thanks for the link!

True...30 words/day isn't really that much, but I have to admit that's way more than I do (and I'm learning much more vocabulary now than I was before I started this notebook method). Perhaps I need to pick up the pace on that. :-/
