This week I basically took a week off. I still did some Spanish every day, but I didn't bother keeping track of time. I did, however, finish working through Pimsleur III.

Well, a week off turned into months off. Looks like I was suffering some burnout there. With hindsight, perhaps 20 hours a week was an unrealistic target over the long term. Anyway, I'm rebooting now, and my main aim is just to do SOME practice every single day, and build up the weekly hours slowly from there.

20h a week is darn hard. I did basically 20h a week during my 7 week intensive course,
and I was burnt out.

Sam, if I were as far along as you are in your studies, I would pick FSI and Notes in Spanish and move ahead. FSI for where you are would make a lot of sense. You may think it is boring but if you don't mind the drills, it will help you get where you want to be.
I completed Michel Thomas and I still have some work to do to complete Assimil. I really enjoyed MT and do enjoy Assimil. However, once completed I will focus the lionshare of my time on FSI. James29, DBAG, Crush and others have been where you (and I) are and they are currently where we want to be. They have nothing but praise for FSI and how effective it is.
All the best.

Thanks Bolio. Coincidentally, I just started working on FSI Basic yesterday :-)
