Well I'm not sure what happened to my week 7 post, I'm 100% sure I posted it, but it seems to have
been deleted, nevertheless I reposted the stats only. Today I started recording my statistics in Excel,
mainly because I don't have a whole lot of trust in the stability of this website.

I'm happy with the effort I put in this week. This week I finished lesson 7 in FiA, finally! It only took me
two months.. Assimil is also going well, I'm enjoying the active phase, it is uncharted territory for me,
and i've been making a few mistakes such as accents the wrong way and using the wrong gender for
some nouns.

On memrise I haven't been planting anything to be honest, most of my time is spent watering and
adding interesting words that I've come across in FiA and Assimil to my deck.

French in Action - Finished lesson 7
Assimil NFWE - Lesson 57 passive, lesson 8 active.

Week 8 March 2nd - March 8th

Min time spent: 53 minutes 17 seconds.
Max time spent: 3 hours 14 minutes 9 seconds.
Average time per day: 1 hour 44 minutes 43 seconds.
Weekly total: 10 hours 28 minutes 18 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 56 hours 54 minutes 12 seconds.

Well I was reasonably busy with various university assignments this week, so I adjusted my French
study accordingly. However I kept up with my daily assimil and had a few conversations with my
girlfriend in French which were great. I watched the lesson 8 FiA video and that's about it for this
week.

French in Action - Lesson 8
Assimil NFWE - Lesson 64 passive, lesson 15 active.

Week 9 March 9th - March 15th

Min time spent: 10 minutes.
Max time spent: 1 hour 15 minutes.
Average time per day: 42 minutes 18 seconds.
Weekly total: 5 hours 38 minutes 31 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 62 hours 32 minutes 43 seconds.

Just posting a quick update for my week. Progress is going well, everyday I try to speak at least 15-
20 minutes with my girlfriend in French, she's more than happy to help me out. The only problem I'm
having so far is that German words tend to pop out when I want to speak French every now and
again, I seem to have a bit of German - French mixing going on, hopefully it just sorts itself out.

Today, I took part in a running event which was 14km. Not a huge distance, but I haven't really run
since I left the army 4 or so years ago.. Therefore I was completely knackered today and only studied
the assimil révision leçon for 10 minutes.

I'm hoping to put more time in next week!

French in Action - Slowly working through lesson 8.
Assimil NFWE - Lesson 71 passive, lesson 22 active.

Week 10 March 16th - March 22nd

Min time spent: 10 minutes 39 seconds.
Max time spent: 1 hour 13 minutes 24 seconds.
Average time per day: 42 minutes 38 seconds.
Weekly total: 4 hours 58 minutes 30 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 67 hours 31 minutes 13 seconds.

Nice to see you're making steady progress, Meyers. Mixing is a common experience, but I think you just need practice to sort it out. I recently was asked a question in French by a French teacher at my school, and I replied entirely in Hindi (I had just been listening to a half hour of Hindi in my car). Boy was I embarrassed!

Well, it has been a busy week for me, this past week and next week are filled with various tests at
uni, which is cutting my study time down a bit, however after next week we have 3 weeks of holidays
which I'm really looking forward too. I haven't managed to do FiA everyday simply because I don't
have time and it takes me roughly 50 minutes to get through my daily assimil lesson.

I Really need to improve on my study time on Sundays, over the past 3 Sundays I have only
accumulated 30 minutes of study time in total. What's my excuse for today? Not a huge one, just
work and the cricket world cup final, which we unfortunately lost.

Another thing I would like to do is to have some more conversations in French, currently I'm not
speaking too much French with my girlfriend, mainly because our relationship and been in English,
and it's just a bit weird to be speaking another language. So far we have only been having 10-20
minutes conversations every few days or so, but I would like to increase a bit more gradually,
otherwise I could always find a language exchange partner.

French in Action - Still working through lesson 8.
Assimil NFWE - Lesson 78 passive, lesson 29 active.

Week 11 March 23rd - March 29th

Min time spent: 10 minutes.
Max time spent: 2 hour 27 minutes 15 seconds.
Average time per day: 52 minutes 28 seconds.
Weekly total: 6 hours 7 minutes 21 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 73 hours 38 minutes 34 seconds.

This week, I was extremely busy.. I had 2 exams at university which required me to study a lot, so I
didn't get too put as much time into French as I would've liked, but that's life. The good thing is that I
have holidays until 28th April, so that's 3 weeks or so. Unfortunately I won't be able to kick my feet
up and I'll be working the entire holidays, but I think i should be able to put a bit more time into my
French.

I'm taking my time with FiA, have watched through the video for lesson 8 numerous times and i'm
slowly working through the workbook.

Until next week.

French in Action - Still working through lesson 8.
Assimil NFWE - Lesson 85 passive, lesson 36 active.

Week 12 March 30th - April 5th

Weekly total: 6 hours 7 minutes 58 seconds.
Yearly total so far: 79 hours 46 minutes 32 seconds.
