How far did L-Ring on its own take you with comprehension? Did you reach the "natural listening" stage?

I can only answer this as no... I'm not at natural listening... my vocabulary retention has been too poor. Everything seems familiar, I frequently have an idea what's going on, but the meanings of words seem to just slightly always escape me. As I pondered in Volte's thread, perhaps using parallel texts would have improved this.

While I would like to finish the first Hobbit sweep, as I don't have a parallel text and am interested in focussing more on parallel text LRing at the moment, I have started Metamorphosis again, 15 min thus far.

For a desire to focus more on french at the moment I have effectively halted by German studies for the moment minus adding vocabulary to supermemo. I also need more time since I want to fix my Spanish accent through shadowing.

With five days of the month remaining I have 600 of 1000 new German vocab words done. So I suppose I will be busting my ass to add 80, 80, 80, 80, 80 over the next few days. It's definitely more difficult for me to memorize them than words in French for example, and thus I've been a bit slower than I expected... I've done Pimsleur German while walking (doesn't really count as active effort I could put into something else since I can't walk around the city doing Assimil without killing myself), thus its done in otherwise somewhat unusable time. I've now done Pimsleur until unit 19 or something.

1000 new German words/expressions/phrases finally now added to supermemo. The last major German effort, now I need to memorize the most recently added words and retain the ones I have with supermemo. These words come from FSI-V1 (the ones I didn't know), the frequency list on about.com (1-300 that I didn't know), and Langenscheidt Basic German Vocabulary (words in the 1-2000 category I didn't know until partway down page 16.
