Copied out lesson number 9 and worked on it for a while after... will need to review it a bit more in future. Kind of an interrupted lesson of maybe 40 min real study time squeezed in between many interruptions.

Since I had completed lesson 10 a long time previously, I worked with unit 11 today for about 30 something minutes. Chorusing rather than shadowing... with review it with proper shadowing in my next session.

I worked on unit 12 today, I only spent maybe 15-25 minutes on it, but have it roughly down, need to review it and unit 11 next session though.

Worked about half an hour on unit 13... still haven't reviewed though... again left till next session. I still am not sure when the 'ch' makes a sh-ish sound or that 'h' sound in the back of my throat... I'm finding it difficult still.

Worked through review of lessons 11-13 and then 15-16 (14 was a non-audio lesson). About an hour all together.

Ok, these weeks looks like it will be the week of German Listen-reading experimentation for me.
I have as preparation the 14 units of Assimil German (subtracting the two of review that I ignored). So I will not be starting this exercise from scratch, but with a total of 9.58 hours documented German study under my belt and perhaps 2-5 non-documented hours of flash card review and other random attempts I am still quite close to a total beginner.
My approach will be to manage at least 4 hours a day for 7 days (28 hours in total) and then maintain a lesser rate of 2 hours a day for the next week after that (14 hours in total). This will bring me to around 42 hours of exposure... which according to atamagaii is the floor for LR natural listening (http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp? TID=9047&PN=1&TPN=13), although I may need another 40 hours of exposure or so after that (to bring me up to 90).
I am going to use Metamorphosis by Kafka to start... I am not certain what text I will use after that... will cross that bridge when I come to it.
