Did the remaining 29 minutes of HP1 CH17... By the final chapter of the third pass I am now understanding quite a lot of what the people are saying, maybe I typically get 35-100 percent at least in a passive way... Reading over the German text alone I can place where I am in the story based on a give paragraph... Paragraphs with a lot of narrating and description particularly leave me around 35-50 percent, simpler narratives 50-80 percent and dialogues between characters are usually in a higher range still. My brain anticipates with relative accuracy exactly where nouns and verbs should fall in the sentence, and can usually match an unknown word or unknown cloister of words with the English translation, not enough to actively learn the words perhaps, but enough that I know that sound X should be mapped to English words Y if asked directly after I hear them.
I feel I could have done a better job if I had completed the book in a shorter time (total days -> 17), but life hasn't really permitted that unfortunately. I have also had problems concentrating on occasion... whether due to being short on sleep or bored with the story on occasion.
