It's amazing how sentence in hanzi is completely intelligible to Mandarin speakers, even though Vietnamese is a

I'm guessing that's because it's written in Mandarin and not Vietnamese?


Oops... I thought it was the same sentence written in Hán tự...

Esperanto is too heavily based on the physical world. A new international language would need to be based on the peculiarities of internet communication, which is very poorly served by any current language.

An "internetese" would be difficult to learn for someone who hasn't used the internet, but I think seasoned internauts would get it pretty easily.

This is what hôm nay là ngày sinh nhật của bạn tôi looks like in Hán-Nôm. All of the characters in the image are already encoded and available to type. For the last character, there is a better alternative that is yet to be encoded with a person radical on the left.
