'Begin regular conversation sessions with a native speaker'

As I've said before, this is what you've go to do. All the rest is good but there's no substitute for using the language. Go here to find some Koreans:

在쿠웨이트韓人會

Wow, thanks for the great site! I was going to do it the old-fashioned way and stalk them outside the church. This site should work better.

I haven't given up! Actually I'm spending more time than ever on Korean, even though I haven't been posting.

I will continue to post, but less often and with more substantial content.

I'm sorry, I've just jumped to conclusion since you didn't post anything in few days. But I can see that you don't need extra motivation from other members :)

Progress:
* Watched the entire Iljimae TV series

In line with my three month plan, I completely dropped the use of non-native material and began building up my media library (two TV series and several music albums). When using my SRS I have become much more aggressive in pruning 'bad' cards, which has reduced the mental stress of approaching reviews each day. Additionally, I am checking the Korean-Korean dictionary more often when looking up new words, but am still dependent on the Korean-English dictionary.

I have not taken any steps to arranging conversation sessions with a Korean, and I haven't been transcribing when listening. In fact, I watched all of Iljimae with the Korean subtitles on, so it was half listening, half reading practice.

Next week the plan is to continue watching Korean TV shows, but to experiment with the subtitles off. Also I would like to start reading Harry Potter for the second time, with a focus on comprehension over speed. Lastly, as additions to my library, I have already ordered several movies and another TV series, and will order one or two sets of manhwa.
