Wow.. I think you know more Hanja than me (that's something to be proud of)..

One repeated mistake I can see in your transcription is 대. It's a classifier for cars, so the correct Hanja would be 臺 not 大.

Also, I don't want to be discouraging, but bear in mind that the vocabulary you learn from written sources of Korean tend to be way too formal and literary to be used for conversational purposes. Your Hanja knowledge and passive skills are at a very high level. I think you ought to focus more on the day-to-day expressions and informal vocabulary. Bring up your conversational skills to where your written Korean is!

Oops... I guessed on a couple of the characters if I thought I had something reasonable in mind.

In the evenings I am reading a few comic series I have, which should be more informal. My best available source for conversational vocabulary is probably Full House, but it's not exactly my favorite show. -.-

I thought I had filled all of my time with Korean, but after watching this video I was inspired to do a lot more. I now have a Korean DVD playing at all times in my apartment, and listen to Korean music even when I sleep. I also bought myself a few Christmas presents to further expand my environment, but they haven't arrived yet.

Additionally, I've started up with the SRS again, though not as a crutch. This time I only use text-to-speech recorded audio and a visual clue for the "question" side. The answer is completely in Korean, including word definitions. I haven't been doing it long enough to know how well works, but I'm adding a few cards each day for now.

One thing Khatzumoto said that really spoke to me is that you shouldn't focus on how much you are improving, but how much you are doing. Since I can kind-of-sort-of read everything, and have been at that point for a while, it can be frustrating at times. Focusing on improving the process and environment will help keep me thinking positive.

I sang karaoke last night in Korean:

Quote:
...나 오늘 밤 그대가 저 문을 열고 들어오면은 준비한 음식과 멋진 음악과 빛나는 촛불을 앞에 두고...

Maybe "attempted to sing" would be more appropriate. -.-

It was with some new Korean friends at a party. I have infiltrated the ranks. :)

The song is 다시 by G.O.D.

I borrowed several children's books from the Korean library here and also got a bunch of movies and new music from some friends. I have ordered the box set of Cowboy Bebop and a 캐로로 DVD since they are both dubbed in Korean and have Korean subtitles. All but two of my other DVDs don't have Korean subtitles, so they are difficult to learn from. Those subtitled DVDs I ordered haven't shipped yet though, so not sure when I will have access to them.

Day to day I'm just reading books, learning the words in them, and listening to a lot of Korean in the background. I have read a lot of books part of the way through, but will try to finish at least a book per week and post the details here.
