There are no errors except "firefly" which should be 반딧불. For extra information, 팔자 can also mean "fate" but it is usually used in colloquial Korean and usually when you are conveying a negative meaning (e.g. whining about your bad luck, getting jealous about the neighbour's good fortune, etc.).

Glad to know that you found a new learning method that suits your style. And don't you think the pure Korean words are just beautiful? :)

I used 팔자 to describe the flight of a bee...

I do prefer pure Korean words. In 2007 I lived in Singapore and took Chinese lessons, but stopped mainly because I didn't like the sound of the language. I find the Korean pronunciation of Chinese words much more pleasant, but pure Korean words are on a whole other level! I do like Chinese characters though...

yeah I guessed that you were probably describing their famous honeybee dancing or something. I just wanted to let you know that there is a more commonly-used meaning with the same pronunciation.

My experience yesterday pretty much disproved my whole discussion about not learning during conversation, and that's a good thing. I'm glad I was wrong, but it doesn't change my goal. Most likely I will just get there faster and look for more ways to improve.

TAC 2009 Day 15

Took a break from reading today and watched 좋은놈 나쁜놈 이상한놈. I picked this movie because there wasn't much dialog, and I was pausing a lot to look up anything I didn't know.

Watched "My Mighty Princess," pausing to pick up the words I didn't know. It was better than I expected, and the lead actress was really cute! It's important to find motivation in your studies...

Also I read the December 2007 issue of 독서평설키즈, a children's learning magazine kind of like "Highlights."

I watched 님은 먼곳에 (aka "You Are in a Far Away Nation"), a movie about a separated couple during the Vietnam War. There wasn't much new vocabulary at all.
