TAC 2009 Day 163
I did a 100-word day today! Now I'm at page 48 / 239. I think at this stage of my study, quizzing on definitions is far more effective than quizzing on sentences.

TAC 2009 Day 164
Phase 1
I started a polyphasic sleep pattern of 30 minutes of sleep every 6 hours. It's only the first phase, so I can't really comment on the efficacy yet. I hope to get in more active study time each day from this change.
From 0000-0600 I watched episodes of Full House and Full Metal Panic. I also watched half of The Moonlight of Seoul and cleared my SRS cards for the rest of the day. I understood probably 85-90% of everything I watched, which is a big jump from the last time I was watching anything. I can get a little lost when people start talking fast, but with one and two-liners I am at about 99% understanding.

TAC 2009 Day 164
0600-1200 Phase 2
This is much much harder than I thought to do all of the sudden. I'm now also a bit terrified that I will be falling asleep at work if I don't adjust on time. I'm going to pick a less drastic sleep pattern, but still go after something to increase my active time with Korean.
This phase I watched some Live Battle, only did 15 vocab words, and did some chores around the apartment before falling asleep several times in a row... I still want to try to make this another 100-word day though.

Goldfibre, you are an interesting man. Are you planning to move to Korea in the future?
I too have been trying to alter my sleeping patterns to get more study time in. I have been trying to get up at 5 o'clock, I have been finding it really difficult...

Korean will probably be a big part of my life even after I reach my fluency goal, but right now I don't have firm plans to move there.
Hopefully you can adjust to the sleep schedule you want. It seems like mornings are more productive for most people.
I'm thinking I might try a core sleep pattern, since that's basically what I did so far today naturally. I had a 30 minute nap at midnight and at 6 AM, then about 2 and a half hours at 9 AM. I'll try to take a nap this afternoon too and then see if I can reduce my sleep tonight to something like 4 hours.

TAC 2009 Day 164
1200-1700
I did 35 more vocab words to bring today's total to 50, ate lunch(?) at 3:30 PM, and watched several StarCraft Pro League matches. I felt great compared to the previous phase and then started getting a little tired around 4 PM so I took a half hour nap at 5 PM.

TAC 2009 Day 164
1700-2100
I did 25 vocab words, so that makes 75 for today. I also read some Keroro, but I had a few errands to run, so there wasn't much time for anything else.
I was sleepy and started my nap at 2100, but couldn't sleep a wink. My next sleep I'm hoping for the core of 2-3 hours.

I got to 100 vocab words for the day and watched some more of my movie. I'm up to page 67 / 239.
June 100-Word Days: 3
At night I set my alarm for 7, but was hoping I would get up at 2 or 3. I slept all the way to 7, so I must have been pretty tired. All in all I slept about 4 hours the previous day. I still want to experiment with my sleep patterns, but I think I need to do some more research first.
