You might run into problems later if you learn the Chinese characters used in Japan. The Japanese use many simplified characters that are not widely taught or used in Korea. #72 in Heisig's RTK is an example: 乱, which, if used in Korea, is considered a convenient 'abbreviation', not the 'real' character. The unmodified original is: 亂. There are many more examples. When I contacted Heisig in January about using RJK to study hanja as you are now, he advised me to wait for <<Remembering the Traditional Hanzi>>. (Now, however, I'm not convinced of the efficacy of his approach.)

Hi Aegi,
That's a fair warning, and I am mentally prepared to learn a lot of synonyms. Studying the characters for their own sake is quite enjoyable, so the additional work should not be a downer. After RTK, the next text will be Guide to Korean Characters by Bruce Grant, if it ever arrives in the mail.
How interesting that Heisig is writing a book for Korean study. I'll definitely buy it when it comes out!
