Hello everyone,
So this summer I have been working on my Dutch studies very dillegently. So far I have completed both Michel Thomas beginner and advanced levels, as well as the Pimsleur Dutch programme. I have also listened to a few vocabulary cassette tapes from Berlitz and another company (I forget which) that provide basic phrases and survival talk/vocabulary. Now, I am about ready to complete the Teach Yourself Dutch programme, and will probably have it finished by early next week. As well as working through the TY Dutch, I am also complementing it with the Assimil Dutch with Ease.
Okay, with that being said, I probably won't be done with the Assimil programme until the middle of September or the end of August, if I really push myself at it. My question though, is what would people recommend as a next step, once I am finished with the Assimil course? I know that I am thinking about a timeframe about a month or so in advance of the current time, but I am like that, and like to have an idea of where to head next. I have a book titled "Intensive Dutch Course" which is by Routledge, and of course I will finish working through it once I finish the Assimil, but does anyone else have suggestions of good programmes to use once Assimil is finished? I only speak/read English, German and some Dutch, so I am only looking for programmes in these languages.
Thanks!
