I've just been sent a link to this website called MySoju by a good friend. It looks like a great place to watch online Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese dramas. The site claims that it's absolutely legal and free, and it seems to offer a wealth of exciting dramas listed by genre, date and popularity. Here's the link folks, and happy viewing! :)

I love this site! All the Asian girls that I know in college love it too. :) I would definitely recommend it, although sometimes there are "broken links" and you can't watch or finish a series. Usually when that happens you can find the rest on youtube or tudou or elsewhere.

Also all of the dramas/movies are subbed, not raw.

I've been using D-addicts instead (http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php). I mostly use it for Korean music TV shows, but they've got far more than that available. (I've actually already got MySoju bookmarked, but I don't think I've ever really checked out the site, though.)

Read.
mysoju.com/ wrote:
MySoju.com is absolutly legal and contain only links to other sites on the Internet [...]MySoju.com is not responsible for the accuracy, compliance, copyright, legality, decency, or any other aspect of the content of other linked sites.

This means that the videos are most likely not legal but that MySoju.com can not be held responsible for providing a platform that allows users to share links to illegal files.

For Korean dramas, try out viikii.net. They made a platform for online fansubbing (the concept is awesome and a good way to practice your languages) and are working on getting Korean series licensed, later they also want to get series from other countries. There also was this other site that had licensed dramas but only for the US and Canada, it should be dramafever.com.

... I wish I could figure out how to pay in won to download legally from clubbox.

DramaFever and Crunchyroll are the only legal sites, but they mainly have Korean dramas
(CR also has anime.)

I think Viki is somewhere between illegal and legal territory nowadays? They do have license agreements for some channels, a lot of them are restricted for subbers and some others still get deleted when the content owners become aware of their existence.

Viki is completely useless because of region locking.
