All personalities have got a dark side. If yours is only this, you must be a treasure ;-)
Have you tried speaking with yourself, doing all the exercises and such activities aloud, repeating after audio or shadowing and so on? I think it does help to get your ears and brain used to you speaking Dutch on top of the practice to get both your skills and confidence up. Get yourself ready for any opportunity.
And seek it out. It could be beneficial to find another circle of acquitances and potential friends. If you've still got some free time left, find/revive a hobby that includes other people. Course of drawing, a choir, a group sport, anything. Anything that advertises in Dutch :-) Going through a hobby or another common interest is always easier than just wanting to meet new people. (Oh, please remind me of my own words next time I am annoyed because I don't meet any guys I'd like :-D )
P.S. Serpent is really cunning! Some of the ideas made me laugh but she's right. Don't let the easy-switchers smell your fear. It's like with the dogs or horses. Confidence is extremely important and it can be trained or at least pretended.
