Evening all,
I'm an English teacher in Korea and everyday two of my students come to my office at lunch time and give me Korean poetry (translated into English). They've done this for a while now and I really want repay the favour. I can't seem to find any Korean translations of English poetry.
I really wanted to give them Invictus. I was wandering if any brave (and helpful) soul might attempt to undertake the task. It won't be a easy so I'll understand if no one is too enthusiastic about it.
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

If it helps, Sisa English Corp apparently makes two Korean/English bilingual books featuring English language poems:
Selected Modern English Poems: http://www.hanbooks.com/semoenpo.html
Selected Modern American Poems: http://www.hanbooks.com/semoampo.html
The vendor in those links is in the US, but I'm assuming they could be easily sourced by other book sellers.

Just a note about that YBM Sisa '100 Book' series... They are great and great value for money at only 4-5000 won each. But there are a few translation errors. Nothing major that you really need to worry about, but just be aware of it.
