I'm not sure if there was any advanced course released in English. The old advanced French-based courses were called "La Pratique de (l'Anglais, l'Espagnol, l'Allemand, etc.)"

The question was about old advanced Assimil books. "Using ..." is the name of the new advanced books.

I really wish these people would stop changing the name.
So the newer Spanish courses are called:
beginner - Using Spanish
advanced - Spanish with Ease
Now I see Spanish without Toil. That's an older version. Is it the beginner level? If so, what is the older
advanced level called?

TEL was just pointing out that you have the titles reversed for the newer titles in your first post.
It should be:
beginner - Spanish with Ease
advanced - Using Spanish
I have the older Spanish Without Toil. It takes you well into the language. It is not just a beginner's program. It will take you from zero knowledge to a level where you can speak, understand, read and write the language quite well.
You will want to supplement the course with other material, the same as you would with any language course. You should be able to pick up a secondhand course quite cheap.
