Just start putting words together, as you would in any other language. Don't fear Latin.

De libris non aget, sed de positione mentis. Se non tibi verba lingvae latinae in mente delabuntur, tralationes simplicissimi utiles sunt. Vide sententiam tuam: quomodo "yes but what books" sermone latine dicere? Non necesse est tralationem consummatam facere, et tralationes dificiles anatema sunt, modo activitas importantissima est, et activitates nimis contortules impedimenta tibi sunt. Noli facere. Se legis textum, tibi roga "quomodo istud in sermone latine dicere?" ivi "quid de isto dicendum est?". Et simpliciter responde.
It is not a question of books, but about your attitude. If the Latin words don't stream automatically into your brain, then ultrasimple translations are useful. Look at your sentence: how do you say "Yes but what books?" in Latin? It is not necessary to make perfect translations, and difficult translations are forbidden - only the activity counts, and too difficult tasks will block you. Don't do them. If you read a text, then ask yourself "how can this be said in Latin" or "What can I say about this?". And give a simple answer.
