How do you compare to other forum members? I created this test at http://www.learnlangs.com/lang_geek/ . Please take it and also ask anybody else who is into languages! I will publish this forum's average score later.

I really enjoyed the test. Great job, thanks! And it makes you thinking about some stuff. My result:

Your test made me laugh, and think of a few people who post here:

I scored 26.25% on the Language Geek Test! I've earned the title of Language Geek.

I still have some ways to go though.

Thom.

You have done a marvellous job here: the test was logical, relevant and great fun all the way through.

My score: 44,38 - if I also had been studying Chinese or Japanese or Klingon I might have qualified as a master geek, but being a mere 44,38 senior geek is OK - there is room for improvement!

Exactly 40%, although I tended to err on the conservative side with my answers - ie, I didn't check off knowing how to read Japanese 'script', despite knowing the kana and a fair number of Kanji, since I can't read it with anything approaching fluency.

My favourite question was

"raise a kid bilingually
with one of the languages being Latin
in Latin and Esperanto or Klingon"
:P
