What a great day of language learning! If only I could find a way to make every day like this! I managed to do at least an hour on every language and I feel like I've made some excellent progress after having had a rough week or so.

:o)

Great spirit ymapazagain! After a rough week or so myself, your little comment perked me right up and inspired new motivation for making every day like this next week...cheers :)

Best of luck with all your goals and here's a link that might interest you that was recently posted by ChristopherB.

Hi Teango,

I'm glad I managed to give you a bit of a motivation boost! It's always good to have that! And thanks for the link :o)

Well...It's been an incredibly bad week for me. In all areas of my life. Things just fell apart and on top of everything I have two 2000 word essays due next week and a psychology exam the following Monday. Let's just say I'm a LITTLE BIT STRESSED!

I've done 8 hours of psychology study today...my brain is fried. So what do I do to relax and wind down afterwards on this Saturday night? Well of course, I turn to my poor neglected languages and keep studying! Worrying some might say?

SPANISH

Watched an episode of Padre de Familia. Last of the season, I've got to get some more!

Oh my poor neglected languages!

How horrid life has been to me of late that it is been two weeks since I uttered so much as a word in anything but English.

It's appalling.

I'm not saying things are getting easier, but I'm dropping in for a quick attempt to at least maintain the level that I am at.

So...

Many of us are pretty much in the same boat around this sombre time of the year, and the last few weeks seem to have been particularly stormy and challenging for several members on the forum. Don't worry though - the good news is that spring is just round the corner, and with it hopefully a bloom of new vitality and sunnier days in language learning... :)

Thanks for the encouragement Teango! It's nice to have some support. Although I am in Australia, but not enjoying the heat and humidity, I'm actually quite looking forward to it cooling down a little! Winter days snuggled up all warm inside are the best days for language learning for me :o)

You'd love it here in Germany then, the snow's only just recently started melting (in fact I just went out for a bottle of vino and it's already snowing again, can you believe it), and we're all starting to slowly emerge like disgruntled ice bears awakening from a long cosy winter hibernation in our caves. I can only but dream of fresh lobster, surf and all-night parties on Bondi Beach! Let's swap for a day :)
