A list of Danish e-book resources, mostly commercial, at least one free I think,
but I haven't looked at it.

In Danish, but the google translation is quite readable, and of course, the links still
work anyway.

Does anyone know of tv series online in Swedish and preferably with Swedish subtitles that can be turned on and off? Have tried the link to stv player earlier in the thread but couldn't access it from my location.

Also, has anyone tried the Maal or Nya maal books? If so, how do they compare to Paa svenska?

Just if anyone is interested, here you can find free audio files for a beginner's course
in Finland Swedish. Even though the booklet is not freely available (I had to buy it from
a local adult education center), I think you can still learn vocabulary and listen how
Finland Swedish sounds like.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, but the Swedish Centrum för lättläst (Centre
for Easy-Reading) publishes books in simple Swedish intended for children, those with
intellectual difficulties, and those learning the language. They have a fantastic
selection, including many adaptations of classics originally written in English
(Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens, etc.) You can order books through their website
(http://www.lattlast.se/), though I'm not entirely sure how practical it is given that
they don't have an option to pay by credit card. Other Swedish online bookstores do stock
some of their publications, including bokus.com.

Sounds good.

Do you happen to know if there is any audio material to go with this?

Thanks.

(Welcome to the forum, by the way).

Thanks! The books don't come with audio material as standard but the site does have an
audiobook section: http://lattlast.se/ll-forlaget/lattlyssnat/lattlyssnat---mp3

I know that there are some very good learning material for Swedish in the languages that lots of immigrants (past or present) to Sweden speak. So if you are not a native English speaker, you can still find good, cheap and efficient material --- particularly if you already speak one of:

1) Finnish (of course!!!)
2) German (they learn Swedish fast and well.... the material must be good..)
3) Serbocroatian
4) Spanish
5) Turkish
6) Arabic
7) Farsi
8) Polish
9) Russian

I didn't find anything!!! in Spanish...
