Hi everyone. If you are studying Spanish and have a favorite weblink or item that helps in comprehension or making things stick, please post it here. These are mine. They are in no particular order. All are FREE!

Conversation Exchange http://www.conversationexchange.com/ Potential learning partners from around the world. Another page from Conversation Exchange. This suggests topics to have conversations about. http://www.conversationexchange.com/resources/conversation-t opics.php Netflix.com If you have it, the Spanish genre is invaluable. Biblegateway.com Read in Spanish while listening. (I actually downloaded the Bible in a separate file and use my print Bible for this unless I am out and about.) GLOSS or Global Language Online Support System http://gloss.dliflc.edu/ All kinds of goodies here from practice audio to text to a variety of other stuff. Very nice. Words Galore http://wordsgalore.com/ Downloadable program-free, wonderful resource. Has a couple of other languages as well. I use this with Mnemosyne to test pronunciation. http://forodeespanol.com/ Lots of options here. http://www.sharedtalk.com/ From Rosetta Stone--options to communicate with others. ******* Excellent resource for speaking/listening practice SPAnish LEarn it ONline. http://www.spaleon.com/index.php To practice drills and such. Audiria http://www.audiria.com/ Podcasts and other material with Spanish. Many items with sound and text. Livemocha is one that I went crazy with a while back, but it is really for beginners, IMHO. Many choices and levels to choose from. Pick and choose here. http://www.spanish-only.com/2008/11/reader-question-real-mat erials/ This is a great site with things broken down into categories that make it easy to target whatever you need. http://www.ielanguages.com/spanish.html A variety of options here with pages where you can fill-in-the-blank online for self testing. I like this when when I have a few minutes to kill at work for little mini-studying sessions. (I just like to leave the site up all day and hit it when I am waitingwaitingwaiting. If you work a desk job where you have to be on hold all the time-ie insurance- this is perfect for eating your language in small bites.) http://www.colby.edu/~bknelson/SLC/index.php I also recommend Wikipedia's home page. Just select your language of choice and look up a topic that you already know and understand to get the vocabulary for it. http://www.wikipedia.org/ Are you using Mnemosyne? 10,000 sentences method? Another spaced repetition method? This is an awesome collection. Thanks for the great list. I haven't used any online resources yet except for ANKI and

Thanks for the links! That's my weekend sorted. I'm using Vaughan Translation Systems at
the moment. Not so much a web resource but it's available to download from mant different sources and it's very useful to practice fairly complex sentences. Other than that I read Spanish newspapers online. I follow something called DW_World on Twitter and read their Spanish articles. 1 person has voted this message useful | |
