@Medialis
I was having a particularly bad morning where everything was just going wrong, and so decided to quickly log into the forum to get away from it all for a moment...LOL...I'm so glad I did now...I can just picture the perplexed faces of passersby in the bathroom when they see you pretending to be Japanese and Russian in the mirror (maybe even at the same time hehe) - cheered me right up, that did! Pure genius, Medialis. :D

Teango: LOL!

I must admit that I (not yet) have had the courage to do it when there are people around me..   ;D

But seriously. Why not!! :D

Thanks to the popularity of hand-free mobiles over recent years, it's quite normal to see people apparently talking to themselves these days. Otherwise, just imagine, folk might think we were a little...to use a Russian expression...тук-тук! :)

Revising my Russian case endings to make me forget the pain I was going through when rowing at Women Eights Head of the River Race on the Thames. The following exam went really well :P.

I usually shadow russian or Spanish in the gym I only get raised eyebrows from newbies now. Shouting russian on the running machine between gasps for breath seems to work.

Foreign languages help me when I'm stressed, so sometimes I practice in pretty strange situations. I have this awkward habbit of describing my situation out loud in Japanese or Esperanto... so, one time, when climbing up a really big ladder to go on a zipline (I'm a little scared of heights), and then getting strapped in once I got up, I was mumbling, in Japanese, "Too high! Scary! Scary! I don't want to climb!" I'm sure the zipline people thought I was nuts but I just couldn't make myself stop! >_>

Also, one time, our school went into lock-down because someone got shot nearby. But they didn't tell us what was going on, and naturally everyone thought there was a shooter on the school grounds. So I was freaked out and stuck in my Italian class with my whacko teacher who was letting people into class even though there was a lockdown, and what did I do? My Japanese homework.

I don't think this is that unusual though. Not for this forum, anyway. XD
