If you don't get engaged, then all the other reasons why people can fail just don't get a look in. In other words, if

If someone fails due to a lack of resources, are you going to say they failed because the lack of resources kept them
from being engaged? If so, how is that useful to anyone?

Mind you, the problem these days is not so much a lack of resources, it's an abundance of resources causes
problems. The problem is knowing how to choose from all that's available.

I was very enthousiastic about Irish for some time, until it dawned to me that you have to listen to a language which has such an orthography - otherwise you won't get anywhere.
