Já modifiquei o título do log. :) Eu só fiz até a lição 7 do curso de princeton, e gostei bastante (pena que os exercícios não têm resposta...) Resolvi que só continuaria depois de terminar o curso do Michel Thomas, e não falta muito pra isso. Vou usar esse mesmo curso para o Alemão, é muito bom. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

This log is so, so abandoned. I've also neglected my study these days, to tell the truth. Now...
...The road so far: Russian Finished Michel Thomas Foundation. Soon I'll start the advanced course and I will not move on to any other material until I have finished all MT courses. I'm thinking about use Teach Yourself Russian along with Hugo's. (I must find the courage to continue the Princeton course, by the way) Yesterday I watched the new Mission Impossible, and to my absolute surprise there were some (actually a lot) dialogues in Russian. It was awesome when I had no trouble understanding “Ваши документы пожалуйста” and some other words. =D German In the middle of MT Foundation. I really liked the course, except MT's accent. I did some Assimil lessons too and watched two episodes of Deutsch Fokus. Later I will edit the post with the total study hours, I have to organize everything first. x.x EDIT TOTAL STUDY TIME THIS WEEK: ~ 10 hours. 5h spent on Russian, a bit more than that on German. Apesar de já estar inscrito neste site há muito tempo, fiquei mais de dois anos sem vir aqui e, de fato, parei pouco depois de me inscrever, pois nasceu meu filho.
Assim, esse também é meu primeiro TAC. Pelo que vi, isso fica mais interessente depois de uns meses, pois muita gente pára, por diversos motivos e os que ficam começam a ter melhores resultados. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Espero que fique mais interessante mesmo, e logo, haha. Mas falando sério, tenho que me focar mais, e como esse é o meu primeiro TAC fico sem saber direito como administrar o tempo e esse mar de material que vivo arrumando pela internet. Mas vai dar tudo certo. Mesmo tendo várias coisas nas quais me focar nesse ano, eu não pretendo deixar de estudar russo, alemão e o que mais vier por aí.. afinal, eu tenho que estudar também o que mais me agrada. =D 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

It’s time to check the progress so far.
Week 1 (01/01 – 07/01) + some hours of study in the end of December. I wasn’t keeping a log of what I was doing exactly, but most of the time I spent on MT and trying out several resources. Total hours: ~10:30h Week 2 (08/01 – 14/01) More MT Russian & German and Assimil German. Put together a rushed week plus my natural procrastination plus House MD lost episodes and you got the reason I spent so little time studying. However, if the time I spend listening to music actually count as study time, I should point out that my German hours should be a bit higher. I think I’ll also keep track of it in the upcoming weeks. Total hours: ~3h Week 3 (15/01 – 21/01) This week I focused on German. I did Assimil up to lesson 22, but I feel I need to find a book with exercises. At least I copy all the text to practise. I spent just 75 min on MT Advanced Russian. Finally I was properly introduced to perfective and imperfective verbs. Total hours: ~5,5h 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Procrastination, my old friend :) Tell me all about it. And, then I end up feeling
guilty. These days I'm battling it, and TAC is a great spur of motivation! You're not alone. Fight on! Isn't recognizing/understanding phrases in your target language when you hear them just awesome?
