While I'm immensely glad to see that this forum, one of the very few people-intensive places of the Internet that I really enjoy visiting, is apparently back since the latest attack, I hope our beloved admin Mr. FX will pardon me if I take this opportunity to remind him that there are still quite a few technical glitches (inconsistencies in reply/view count, or private messaging, to name some) that might be fixed, too, with a 'simple' forum software update to its latest version. I thought I'd mention this just in case he goes missing for the next aeon or so ;)

Many thanks to FX for restoring the site. Many thanks also to @emk and @Julie for creating the temporary forum meeting place. The outage has brought some issues to light that need to be discussed and resolved. It would be nice to hear from our admin, himself, in a post addressed to the membership. Are there plans in place to keep this outage from re-happening? The forum and its data are much too valuable to lose again.
