Does anyone know what happened with the free FSI website? It seems to have gone down as
of February 14th. I just started using it last week and I've been very enthusiastic about
improving my Spanish. Is this a frequent occurrence?

It's gone down at least once before.
Here's a link to the FSI Spanish Units 1-15 that I put on dropbox.:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/35412506/FSI%20Spanish/FSI%20Spanis h%201/FSI%20Spanish%201.pdf
That should work for anyone who has the link to download it.
I don't think I can link to the whole folder, with all the recordings. I can add you as a
shared contact if you pm me your email.

I came here exactly for that. I really hope it's back up soon. :(

We're all hoping (and assuming) it'll be back up soon. But in the meantime, if there's anything from the site you need, you might specify it here, since a fair number of forum members have downloaded materials from the site and just might be able to provde what you need.

Aren't they all on archive.org anyway?

Last time I looked (which was when the site went down last), they did not have nearly all the courses archived there.
Is the archival process community lead at archive.org, or is it something that the site operators must do?

I put in an email to the site administrators last night to see if I could learn more.
I think it would be a good idea if we could come together to set up a mirror or torrents to keep the courses alive so all of the eggs aren't in one basket. I have a few courses that I have downloaded. Between everyone here, we could put together all of the courses, I would think.

Looks like the site is still down. Does anybody have the first audio units for the either the Programmatic Brazilian
Portuguese course...or for the Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese course?
