What are some good Dutch grammar books that cover from B1 and higher? I am currently
using Klare Taal, http://www.nt2.nl/product/72/Klare-Taal?h=405, after using the Routledge book, but since there are very few Dutch language books in the bookstores Anglophone countries, this means I would have to order the books which carry shipping costs, so I would need to be precise on which ones to buy. Any topic of grammar is what I seek, e.g. general grammar, verbs, clauses, vocabulary, sentence structure, discourse, etc. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I will consider both, as they seem academic and rigourous. I especially enjoy those that
are academic and serious (although some are unsuited to this style). What are your opinions of the NT2 books, or the books whose instructions and text are all in Dutch? Also would it recommended to buy both of the two above, or one only? If you're short on cash I would pick one only. In my experience, the Donaldson is extremely thorough; you could definitely be happy with only that. It already covers far more than what I can use at this stage (B2-ish). I will say that the one area it lacks in is word order. Not that it's not covered - it's just not as clear and concise as the word order section on DutchGrammar.Com. But in all other aspects I am extremely satisfied. I love DutchGrammar.com, the sessions are usually very complete and easy to understand. You just won't learn much vocabulary there.

I ordered Intermediate Dutch Grammar from Amazon today,

I am not sure what level exactly whereto it corresponds on the CEFR scale, but it looks like a good level whereon to solidify. I think I might buy the Donaldson book for my birthday since it costs more, at £35. Both look very interesting to me. I did Klare Taal months ago and just finished reviewing with DutchGrammar.com, which helped to clarify many things that confused me. I read the Word Order section thrice just to make sure I do not mess up so badly with it agsin (or at least not as frequently). What are good audio resources to complement these books? Also does anyone know what learners of Dutch use for C1 and C2? I am definitely not to be there for a long time, but I was just curious, for the future.
