@ Emme Thanks a lot Emme! Yeah that's why I do it to be honest, some good writing practice and I then post my entry into Italki to see my mistakes. I have read your log of your multiple languages and can only admire how you keep up with all the languages, plus I thought you were English till I saw your native language as Italian, good luck with your languages!
Lo que yo he estado haciendo recientemente Pues, he estado un poco perezoso últimamente con estudiando. Leeré diario el periódico a practicar y leeré sujetos que me interés, incluyendo usando el foros y el internet a acceso estos. Gracias a nosotros equipo hilo, he obtenido mucho recursos los que mejorarán mis conocimientos de español. Otra vez, necesito a organizar un otro sesion de conversacion con mi profesor, he estado demasiado preocupado con trabajar y viendo mi amigos, aunque supongo yo podido haber encontrar tiempo si yo hice el esfuerzo. Asi, este semana, pondré esfuerzo maximo dentro mi estudiando. Uno cosa he notado es tengo mucho recursos de lectura pero yo no podido nombre un pelicula bueno en español. Estoy considerando conseguir netflix a ver la calidad de sus pelicuas en español. Russian Again I have been quite busy lately and the free time I have had, I've played games and been to the gym and chilling to be fair! I have done the first 4 lessons of Russian Asimil and I plan to go through them again tonight, I'm finding it a good way to learn so far, I don't often do too much "Studying" as such, I tend to just read things that I enjoy or listen to music in a foreign language, although with Russian, I need to study hard! I'm also reading through the grammar and all the different cases and how they have an effect on the word in general, which again, compared to English or Spanish, is quite challenging for me, but an enjoyable one :) Edited by Olis89 on 19 January 2014 at 5:52pm 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Tiempo por un otro actualizar!
Pues, he estado haciendo más lectura, incluyendo mucho historias de noticia y mi libro Bram Stoker de Dracula. Yo solamente leo un poco paginas cada noche a ayuda me dormir, probablemente alrededor pagina ochenta o asi. De todos modos, habia un interesante preguntar ayer, Solicité para un trabajo en un gimnasio de la universidad, de venta membresías (had to look this word up). Durante la entrevista, la gente me pidieron si hablaba otro lengua, como dije que uno de mi hobbies es aprendizaje lenguas. Ahora, me dije no, como no quiero presión usar la lengua a trabajo, sin embargo, hago sentir yo podido entender bastante haber un conversación en español. Estuve pensado, cuando fue la ultima vez alguien tiene tu cuestionó sobre si tu hables español? Si amigos me piden, dicho hablo un poco, por un poco, no significo mucho jeje. Russian, I have again gone over the first 5 lessons of Assimil. I have also just started practicing writing Russian, obviously not the cursive, but it really feels weird writing some of the letters, feels like I'm a kid again haha. Tiempo para actualizar
En terminos de mi español, no he estado formalmente estudiando mucho, pero he estado inmersión mí mismo en español. He estado leyendo tan mucho incluyendo consejos de viajar cuando voy a Madrid en marzo con mi amigo. Otra vez, yo realmente sentir que puedo leer espanol para placer. De todos modos, hay es mucho necesito mejorar, tan como mi comprensión de escuchando ... ¿Cómo voy a hacer esto? por escuchando! estoy usando euronews, escuché a la noticias y entonces, escuché y yo leeré y escuché a la noticias y entonces, escuché otra vez. Yo va tambien complementar mi comprensión de escuchando por haciendo tareas tan como escuchando a musica, con artistas tan como Airbag, Enrique Iglesias, Reik (no estoy diciendo disfruto esta musica, pero espero lo trabajar... ;) ) Tambien, como mas de la gente, yo uso avanzado notesinspanish podcasts el que son muy agradable. He estado reacio a sigue con platicando a hablantes nativo de español porque Odio odio odio sonido como un niño, aunque yo sé que no estoy va a mejorar sin platicando a la gente. Mientras conduzco, hablaré conmigo sobre cosas veo, cómo es mi día? por qué odio mi trabajo, y me siento estoy consiguiendo mejor. Mi hermano esté tambien aprendido español, asi quizas en el futuro podemos practicar hablando, le tiene mas libros de gramatica el que necesito a robar demasiado Russian I haven't done too much again, it's more of a long term project Russian and with my trip to Spain in a month, I'm really focusing on Spanish at the minute! Although with Russian, I have gone over the same lessons of Assimil again and starting to feel more confident with these lessons. Hoy yo pensado haría una revisión de una película yo vi recientemente.
Corrientemente, estoy viendo una pelicula, se llama "The adjustment Bureau" diría esta pelicula es sobre la amor, lo es sobre ciencia ficcion y la actriz está estúpidamente caliente. Pienso que lo es una pelicula inteligente, la que hacerme piensa sobre el posibilidad de nosotros camino de la vida es planificado, o se controla su propio destino. Me gustaria a piensa que me hago mi propio destino, pero la pelicula es básicamente una noticia de amor y se que es provoca de pensamientos. De todos modos, siento que español es ya parte de mi vida aunque, de nuevo, he estado un poco perezoso ultimamente con el estudio . Por ejemplo, rechacé la oportunidad hablar español. Hablé con una chica y le dijo esa habló español como ella fue a la universidad y aprendió español a la universidad, un colega mencionado que estoy aprendiendo español y le pidió entonces si disfruto aprendiendo español en español, dije "sí" en inglés, entonces, pidió si había estado a la españa, el que de nuevo, contesté en inglés y pedí si ella había estado, en inglés. De todos modos, la oportunidad es perdido, pero estaré hablando con mi prima en español en madrid cuando mi y mi amigo vamos a Madrid. Getting ripped apart a bit with my corrections but at least my point seems to more or less get across, I definitely sound a bit robotic in the language and sometimes translate things in my head too literally from English to Spanish, but the corrections are helping and I'm trying to use them as and when :) Russian I have listened to a few podcasts in Russian and love how the language sounds and how they don't piss about, they don't seem to mess about with filler words, they just say how things are, what they want, very matter of fact and straight to the point. I look forward to increasing my knowledge of the language so I can being to string sentences together properly. I am on lesson 8 of assimil, slow progress but I'm not racing or in a rush, I suppose a long term goal will be to go to the world cup and be able to get by in Russian, got to wait and see if England qualify first! If you don't, i just wanted to comment on a couple things.
1. In English, we often leave out the "that" (I saw (that) you were there, I think (that) you are funny, etc.). In Spanish, you cannot do this. You'll always use "que": Vi QUE estuviste ahí, creo QUE eres graciosa. So in "de una película yo vi recientemente" (in a movie i saw recently), you need to use "que". The same after "pensar" and "decir" when you can fit a "that" in there in English: I told him that i would go vs. I told him the truth. 2. When you say "Today I thought that...", "thought" is the past tense of "to think". In English, "thought" also is used for the past participle, ie. "This isn't the first time i've thought this" or "I have thought about doing this for a long time". In Spanish, there is a different form for the past tense and the past participle, like the English verb "to see" (I see, I saw, I have seen). Pensado is the past participle, pensé is the past perfect. It should also be followed by "que", as i mentioned in #1 :) 3. "It" as a subject is rarely used in Spanish. Normally you just use the verb without a subject. It's a movie about love = Es una película de amor. "lo" means "it" when it's the object of the verb (and the object is masculine): I want it = lo quiero, Have you seen it? = ¿Lo has visto? 4. Caliente = hot (temperature) or horny. Is the actress really horny? A more colloquial way of saying "that person is hot" would be "está buenísima". 5. "Pedir" means "to ask for something". "Me pidió dos dólares" "He asked me for two dollars". "To ask" as in a question is "preguntar". "Le pregunté si quería comer algo conmigo" = "I asked him/her if he/she wanted to eat something with me" 6. "mi" is never used as a subject, like it sometimes is in English: "my friend and me did..." "me and you are..." You'll always use "yo" here. "Mi amigo y yo hicimos..." "Tú y yo somos..." It looks like you can get by alright in Spanish, you just need to be a little careful about how you translate from English to Spanish. The biggest thing i've seen in your posts is making sure you use a verb and not a participle (which is often more like an adjective) when you're talking in the past and not to forget the "que" after the verbs that need it. I agreed with everything you posted except for this entry as neither of those English examples are considered correct English (thus English and Spanish follow the same rule here). Yes, you do hear that type of phrasing in English now (more often than should occur), but that still doesn't make it correct English. Yes, I also know that over time languages change as "incorrect usages" become common enough to become accepted as proper language, but that particular usage ("me" as a subject) is far from being considered "proper" English (yet, anyways, though I'm sure it's only a matter of time until that changes).
