Hi all,
If anyone is interested, I posted a video review of the new Assimil Sanskrit course. You can find it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOaFAvdjQeQ
A few things I forgot to mention that one might want to know:
1. Every single lesson is presented in both Devanagari and the standard system of romanization.
2. In the romanized text, when sandhi takes place, the original, pre-sandhi letters are given in parentheses.
3. Two translations are given in French: a smooth translation and a hyper-literal word-for-word translation.
4. You can find audio samples of three lessons on the Assimil website.
Please let me know if you'd like to know anything else about the course!

Thanks for the video, Deka Glossai. It was really great. I enjoy all of your videos and look forward to more coming. I am currently working through M&F Intensive Latin and Assimil Il Latino Senza Sforzo on your recommendations. Best of luck in your travels and keep the wonderful videos coming.
By the way, do you have a blog or use twitter? I'd love to be aware of those channels if they are available.

Thank you for the review, although I thought we'd get to see the book rather than yourself. It appears to be very substantial in any case.
I'll be getting it next time I make a book order from France.

Thanks for the responses everyone!
jondesousa: I don't have a blog (and I wouldn't know how to make one), and I still don't really know what twitter is.
Are there any benefits to using these other forms of social media? I would be grateful if you could let me know.
Thank you very much for your kind words and wishes, and best of luck in your studies! The Assiml/F&M
combination should be excellent.
Juan: I didn't feel compelled to show much of the book because the format is exactly the same as any other Assimil
book. But let me know if there is something specific that you'd like to see.
jeff: Thank you! I guess I accomplished my goal!

Deka,
What's the general subject matter? Is the Sanskrit put into a modern context (eg. like Le Latin sans piene) or an historical one (eg. like Lingua Latina per se illustrata)?
If the former, any idea where they get the neo-Sanskrit vocab from?

renaissancemedi: Thank you, there will be more!
dmaddock1: The language is not forced into hyper-modern situations, so there is no talk of microwaves or
airplanes. So I guess the setting is historical, but many of the situations and dialogues are timeless. That is to say,
one couldn't tell whether the conversation is taking place today or 2500 years ago.
