It was meant to have lowercase t since the beginning, so Team STARt would do it.
However, if you have any other suggestions, feel free to tell about them here.

This is the thread for choosing TAC team names. Please discuss the options here and create external polls on sites like easypolls.net if needed.
Note: the general tendency is to use shorter names, of 3-4 characters. Try to stay within that limit. However, if there's a strong desire for a longer team name (and no objections), an exception can be made :-)
Non-members are allowed to contribute with ideas, but shouldn't participate in the voting.
Please don't start a team thread for this purpose, discuss here or by PM if you realllly need to.
When any of the team names are confirmed, they will be listed in this post. |

Unless desired by others, I have no problem with keeping the existing names for teams that I'm currently on. Continuity is fine with me. |

I'm kinda torn on this one, as I love the *jäŋe/*ledús name, but that leaves me with too little space in my log title :/ |
|

One way is to omit the team's name from the log's title unless that log is meant only for that team.
Wasn't there some suggestion to a post in the team's thread that contains links to the members' logs?

A suggestion for the "ONE team": Team 1UP?

There is the Iberia idea going on. Sounds awesome. However, won't it be a bit crowded? |

Do you mean the team or the length of the name? Iberia is just a working title and refers more to the origins, as many learners are more interested in Latin America and they should not be excluded. We need to find something relatively neutral :) |

I mean the team. Last year, some teams were closed for being already full and therefore some people had to make "team 2" which I am not sure is the best solution when there are more. Spanish is one of the most popular languages and most learners take it as their second or more language, so they don't qualify for STARt (I love that name btw). Portuguese is among the quite popular names as well. Perhaps, when we have the "nearly final" numbers, we may see as much as twenty or thirty people wishing to go for either one or both in a team. Wouldn't it be too much?

The Scandinavian team, named Viking in 2013. Will it keep the name? What else can we
find? ikea is only swedish related, even though it became an important symbol. Pipi
after the Lindgren's hero is short. What about Havfrue, which appears to be mermaid in
Danish (says the babla dictionary)? Or Valhalla! Yes, all are too long. But epic!

What about TOR? (ie. Thor, the thunder god and protector of mankind)

Good idea :D Thor is what's associated with Scandinavia right now. Might be too mainstream for some though...
