"El secreto de sus ojos" is a great film, but it helps to know a bit about La dictadura to put the film in context. I have been meaning to re-watch it for a while.

--- Le mélange des langues : pas encore un problème Je n'ai pas remarqué une mauvaise influence de mon français sur mon espagnol. S'il y a eu une influence, je crois que jusqu'ici elle a été pour le bon. Bien sur que j'ai eu des moments où je cherchais un mot espagnol et puis un mot français me venait en tête mais je pense que ça fait partie de l'apprentissage de n'importe quelle langue et je n'ai pas eu du mal à me rendre compte qu'il ne faut pas dire ces mots là. [Español] Me gustó muchisimo "El secreto de sus ojos." Si te gustan las películas dramáticas, te la recomiendo. Hablaba ayer con mi amiga argentina y ella me recomendó algunas otras películas argentinas. Tengo ganas de verlas! :-)

Je suis désolé de lire que tu es malade. Je te souhaite un bon rétablissement ! Aussi, je crois que "me venir à l'esprit" est mieux que "venir en tête" (qui me rappelle d'être au premier place d'une liste ou d'une énumération de quelque sorte). Para mi el subjuntivo en español es mas difícil que en francés. Se usa mucho mas frecuentemente y el imperfecto de subjuntivo se usa en conversaciones normales. También hay algunas diferencias en la manera que se emplea. Daré dos ejemplos:
1. "If I had more money, I would buy a yacht." Si tuviese mas dinero, compraría un yate. [imperfecto del subjuntivo + condicional] Si j'avais plus d'argent, j'acheterais un yacht. [imperfecto del indicativo + condicional] La frase en francés me parece mas parecida con el inglés que el español. 2. "When I finish my studies, I will look for a job." Cuando termine mis estudios, buscaré un trabajo. [presente del subjuntivo + futuro] Quand je finirai mes études, je chercherai un travail. [futuro + futuro] Por otro lado, en este caso los tres idiomas son diferentes; el inglés usa presente del indicativo + futuro. Thankfully I already learnt all this for Italian, which from what I gather so far uses the imperfect subjunctive very similarly to Spanish, so I don't need to go through it all again. However, you could say the Spanish/Italian version is technically closer to the English one than the French one is, since when speaking "correctly" we use the past subjunctive rather than the past indicative after "if"... although of course, for 99% of verbs they're the same. But traditionally we say "if I were rich, I'd buy it" (si fuera rico, lo compraría) as opposed to "if I was rich" (si j'étais riche...). I know it's a minor detail, and these days the "was" form is just as common, but I have found it very helpful to be aware of the similarity and think of the subjunctive as the "if I were" form. The other usage of the imperfect subjunctive is of course when the main clause is in the past or conditional, which came to me very naturally after having read a few French books. Your example number 2 is new to me though: present subjunctive after "when" is something you don't see in Italian! I'm sure there are many more discoveries like this of how each language uses the subjunctive in new and different places are awaiting me... keeps things interesting I suppose! 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Acabo de encontrar un otro ejemplo de (2): "Elena Borges, psicóloga del Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos de Madrid, asegura que hay que empezar cuanto antes aunque en este caso es mejor dejarlo para el día 7, cuando las fiestas hayan terminado y nosotros volvamos a la rutina."
