My grandson is captivated as soon as the Little Einstein's theme song kicks off. He watches every episode many times. He's only 20 months.

Now youtube has Les Petits Einstein. He already knows everything about the show. French is in his grasp.

And your favorite child's too.

Why just for children? Thank you for this awesome find! I just searched for the DVD on Amazon, and it has language tracks in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese, and subtitles in all of those except Dutch. 69 minutes of pretty simple language with native subs, for £3.75. A nice find, and I've ordered one! Thanks!

One of the good things about it is that the program is designed to be didactic and help the viewer begin to
understand and use language.

I've known about this program for years, but I thought it was only for babies and toddlers.

It's not half bad.

The original series was Baby Einstein, which was indeed for babies and toddlers. I hadn't heard of this series, which I assume is an extension of the Baby Einstein series. It looks like only volume 1 and 2 have the full set of languages and subs I mentioned above. A couple of the others have a few of them, and several of them only have English. So check before you buy. I'll post something here about the quality of sound + subs once I've gotten mine.

Thanks for the suggestion. It turns out my library has some titles in this series. Keeping my fingers crossed
that the versions include French/Spanish dubbing and subtitles

I understand Little Einsteins is different from Baby Einsteins, although they are both from Disney. Little Einsteins is the name of the series my grandson is into. Apparently he skipped Baby Einsteins because he's so smart.

I'd be interested to hear from you what your grandson thinks of his favourite show dubbed in French. It could be the start of something really interesting, or he might just hate it. Let us know how it goes!
