I have yet to try watching Chinese TV without subtitles. I tend to learn better with double Chinese/English subtitles but I only have TV shows from Singapore that meet this chriterium so maybe it's time for a change both in origin and input.

There are not many Chinese shows from China or Taiwan with English subtitles. Some featured films that
were featured in an international film festival such as "Raise the Red Lantern", "Shanghai Triad", etc. have
English subtitles.

When it comes to foreign shows with English subtitles, some people have the tendency to read the subtitles
and not pay attention to the language spoken. When I'm watching online and resize the browser screen to a
tiny screen, I can still see the action without the tendency to read the English text. You can turn your head
away from the screen every few minutes to pay more attention to the dialog or watch a portion of the video
once and then listen to the same portion without watching it.

The last TV series I watched from Singapore was 奇迹 "Making Miracles" TV series. It's about doctors &
nurses in a hospital doing their job. The way the doctors try to explain medical terms to a patient in any
language would be a challenge.
