I said that Russian ль and Polish l were variations of one and the same sound. Hard and
soft Л are different sounds in Russian but we represent them with one and the same
grapheme. Читал - читали. The exact realisation of these sounds doesn't matter. Polish
does the same with N, for example: na-nia.

That's what I suggest because they form a hard/soft pair and the softness of щ could be
shown with the soft sign and yotating vowels. шь, шя, шю
