When you feel ecstatic when you find out that the next polyglot conference is going to be
in Montreal, because it gives you an excuse to learn French, but then feel really disappointed because that will mean less time for German! When you're willing to avoid restaurant food for the entire school year just to save up money for a summer trip to a foreign country.
