Tɔɔro tɛ. Hɛrɛ dɔrɔn. Hɛrɛ tilenna (wa)? (Not sure if I need the question marker here - but I agree with you asking if the day or night has been peaceful is great.)
Et je suis d'accord avec Iversen, ta faute d'orthographe est un vraiment drôle jeu de mots ... ;-)

Wow, I read the "5 reasons" article and Bambara sounds like a great language to learn!

I learned a lot of Arabic chat language from Facebook too - it's fun to see how people
really communicate.

From what I remember from my year of learning Bambara, I don't think you need the 'wa' there. But I don't have my textbook with me. I found that in Bamako, most people didn't use the 'wa' anyway - it had been replaced by the French 'est-ce que'. As in 'Est-ce que i be bamanakan men?' instead of 'I be bamanakan men wa?'.

Rutabaga - thanks for the tip about Bambara speakers using est-ce que! Do you
happen to remember any other interesting tips? Perhaps some modern slang? Cool words you
liked? Did you live in Mali for a year or just visit after learning?
