What is the next level beyond "Groupie"? 100 posts? Super Groupie?
do the votes have any bearing on anything?

"Senior Member" follows "Groupie"
The votes determine how many trophies that you get after your name (I think that it's the first trophy comes after 50 votes, second after 100 (or 150?), third after 500 and fourth after 1000. I don't know how many votes are needed to become an "ace" in trophies by getting the fifth one). These might also determine somehow the percentage for popularity in threads that you start. I've noticed that when I start threads (e.g. in Collaborative Writing) even when there are no replies and only seen a couple of hundred times, they get 20% popularity within a few days. In comparison, other senior members (but with fewer votes or less time on the forum) do not get that seemingly instant boost of 20% popularity on their threads without a lot of replies or votes in a short time.

I believe the order is:
★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ - 1 star - Newbie
★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ - 2 stars - Groupie
★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ - 3 stars - Senior Member
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ - 4 stars - Moderator (special appointment)
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - 5 stars - Pro Member (paid membership), Forum Admin (unique)
I do not believe votes have any bearing on status.

And yet, you're a Senior Member with only one trophy? I must be missing something.

I myself had wondered how the counting was structured. - Thanks, people. Chung, I don't know what
the figure for the second trophy is, but it's not "100" (see my stats at left).

Happy Doomsday-Eve!
Assuming the world still exists, I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon for the holidays, but I’ll try to update before I go. That’s if there is anything to update and I have internet. I’m having it fixed tomorrow (and getting heat in the bathroom :D and I don’t know if the internet will be gone for a while or what. During the Christmas holidays, I will be away, but I will try to do some updates when I can, again depending somewhat on the internet conditions there.
Today’s update:
There were a whole lot of posts, but not much about joining teams. I aded a few links though, in addition to the following:
Changed the name of the Middle Eastern Team to Alef
espijisimo:
The Slavic/Romance team sounds like it would suit you. Should I sign you up?
TheGreaterFool:
The Microtags option is seen only by you. You don’t see it on other people’s posts and they don’t see it on yours.
Rout:
Added to Spanish
SomeGuy & Bakunin:
I’m not sure where to put you right now. Vietnamese and Thai don’t seem to be popular languages.
We are now up to 130 TACers!
