Well that is new angle for a successful TAC for your team. |

I also slacked off on the Japanese team the last half of the year. I'd like to improve and I'm a bit worried because time -does- tell! But what I already find helpful is Brun's list on page one. All the links are there for my team and since I've upgraded my computer, it doesn't take long to check everybody's log. Mrwarper is the most prolific "log checker" on our team right now. He's stopped by everyone and said "good luck, keep it up". I think that's encouraging.

You're exaggerating a bit, but thank you.
I know the perspective of having to check everyone's log looks daunting -- been there, done that. However I can assure you that after a mandatory steep stage at the beginning, the amount of time it takes to keep up to date dramatically reduces over time, both due to people posting less and to the fact that the more you get used to doing it, the more you organize yourself in that front. My daily routine consists of a morning and a nightly round of between 15 and 30 minutes tops, and going down.
Besides, it's not mandatory (nor even recommendable I would say) to keep posting all the time in all the logs you're subscribed to. If you keep a reasonable balance between going off the radar and posting only as a response to something you find interesting, or when you have something to say, instead of posting just for the sake of making yourself visible (don't we have one Facebook already?), it doesn't take too much time to write your share either so you should actually have time to dedicate to other stuff, be it language learning, real life or whatever ;)
So don't be afraid to go ahead, what's the worst thing that could happen...?

The first week, there were zillions of posts, most of them just saying something like "Hi! I'm glad to be on your team." That was rather annoying, because I kept checking them and there was nothing of substance there. However, now it's already slowed down quite a bit, so it's no problem to read all the logs. I only post if I actually have something to say though.
And I've added both Malek and Luai_lahire. Now I'm off to look for more logs that I need to link to. If the team leaders are still reading this, it would be nice if you could check my team lists and tell me whom I might be missing. I found one or two people that had joined teams without anyone telling me.

Hi Brun Ugle,
If this link works, my Dutch log is here:
how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3491 3&PN=1
If not, it's currently on the first page, entitled 'Stitch's Dutch Log (TAC 2013)'.
I'm not sure what's going on with the Dutch team either, as we don't seem to have a team
thread, but I'll be checking in with the logs of the members who've signed up for Dutch
anyway.

Well, I'm sure I'll be following at least a few of them, but last year I eventually stopped checking my email completely
in order to avoid having to delete the huge piles of notifications I got from this forum... I don't even know how it
happened, but it became very stressful for me. I've only just managed to get my email anxiety under control
enough to start reading it again (after going back through and deleting months of email- yikes). So I'm not sure
precisely what I will do about this problem. I certainly would like to solve it though.

I tried signing up for e-mail yesterday or the day before, and it's already driving me nuts, so I am now unsubscribing to everything. I think it's too stressful for me too. I just log on to the forum and scroll down the list and see if there is anything I want to read. It's much more comfortable. Also, like Sunja said, if you are looking for a specific log, they are all linked on the front page, or soon will be.

I just realized that I am now over 1000 posts! And I imagine nearly half are on this thread. A bit of an exaggeration perhaps, but I have posted a lot here.
